Aston Villa could be about to swap one of their stars for a Paris Saint-Germain forward as both clubs are poised for talks over a surprise deal.
Unai Emery's side are in the Champions League this season and are back in Europe's top club competition for the first time in 40 years after finishing fourth in the Premier League last campaign.
The Villans are currently fifth in the new look Champions League group stage table after four wins and a draw from their six games so far, and are looking in a good position to qualify for the last 16 phase of the competition.

In the Premier League this season, Villa are currently eighth in the table and four points from the top four following a 2-1 victory at Villa Park yesterday against struggling Leicester City.
Ross Barkley put the hosts ahead before the hour mark before Stephy Mavididi equalised for the Foxes not long afterwards, but Leon Bailey netted what proved to be the winner as full-time approached.
The January transfer window has now opened for business and clubs are free to trade players over the next month for any ins and outs they feel need to be done to their squads.

And one incoming and outgoing could be on the cards for Emery's side which would be a stunning swap deal if it comes to fruition.
Jhon Duran is Villa's top scorer this season with 12 goals across all competitions this campaign.
Duran has been at Villa Park since January 2023 with a move from Chicago Fire for a reported £14.75 million, and has gone on to score 20 goals for the club since arriving in the West Midlands.

But the popular Colombia international could be on his way out of the Villa this month after it emerged talks are poised to happen with PSG over a swap deal with the French club for one of its forwards.
According to Football Insider, Villa are due for discussions with the Parisians over a cash-plus-player swap transfer involving Duran and Randal Kolo Muani, the latter of whom is struggling for form and opportunities this campaign.
Kolo Muani has been in the French capital since moving from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023, scoring 11 goals in 54 games across all competitions.
Duran's Villa contract runs until 2030 and could be prepared to cash in on the forward to bring in funds and a replacement in the form of Kolo Muani and discussions over this prospect are reported to happen over the next week.
