Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has been subjected to brutal boos from the PSG home fans throughout the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
The first leg is being played at PSG's Parc des Princes stadium, with Villa holding home advantage for the second leg due to qualifying automatically for the knockout stages.
Seconds into the clash, home fans audibly booed Martinez when he received the ball for the first time - before then jeering him when he kicked the ball out of play.

When he ran out from the tunnel for his pre-match warm-up, he received a predictable reaction.
The reason why is due to Martinez starring for Argentina in their 2022 World Cup final win over France, as well as his subsequent antics following the full-time whistle.
TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher also noted how the goalkeeper, when arriving at the stadium yesterday, was wearing a cap which showed all his accomplishments with Argentina.

Unsurprisingly, the cap didn't go down well with the French faithful either.
What did Emi Martinez do after the 2022 World Cup final?
Late in the World Cup final, with the game seemingly destined to go down to penalties, Martinez made a superb one-on-one save to deny Randal Kolo Muani from securing the trophy for France.
The goalkeeper then saved Kingsley Coman's spot kick in the shootout, before distracting Aurelien Tchouameni, who slotted his penalty wide.

He then made a vulgar gesture towards the France fans with his Golden Glove award, which he had received for being the best goalkeeper of the World Cup.
In the dressing room, he enflamed tensions further by asking for his Argentina team-mates to hold a minute's silence for the 'death' of Kylian Mbappe, who was on the losing side.
Explaining his celebration in an interview with Argentine radio station La Red, Martinez said: "I did it because the French booed me. Pride does not work with me."
