Arsenal have put seven first-team players up for sale in mass clear-out

Arsenal have made seven first-team players available for transfer in the summer.

Arsenal have made seven players available for transfer as part of a major summer clear-out.

The Gunners are guaranteed to finish in the top two for the second consecutive season after a stunning title race with Manchester City.

Ahead of a huge clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, Arsenal trail City by two points after Pep Guardiola's side thrashed Fulham 4-0 at Craven Cottage.

City still have a crucial game in hand against Spurs on Tuesday in what could potentially decide the title.

Arsenal have proven they are well and truly back at the summit but irrespective of whether they lift the Premier League trophy, there will be changes amongst the squad

Cedric Soares and Mohamed Elneny are already confirmed departures, while goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo is out of contract after spending the season on loan at Wrexham and helping them secure promotion to League One.

But according to Ryan Taylor of The Mirror, Arsenal are prepared to part ways with a further seven players.

Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Reiss Nelson are all seen as dispensable and the Gunners are willing to listen to offers.

Arsenal spent over £200 million on Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber but are set to splash the cash again ahead of next season.

And a number of sales will help with funds on new recruits, particularly academy graduates Nketiah, Smith Rowe and Nelson with profit and sustainability rules to contend with.

All those on the transfer list are considered fringe players but could still command decent fees.

Jorginho has been rewarded with a new one-year deal, while Thomas Partey's future still needs to be decided as he approaches the final year of his deal at the Emirates.

Gabriel Jesus is expected to stay put despite injury disappointment. It's said the Brazilian could undergo surgery to fix persistent knee problems.
