Lee Carsley has made an immediate change to one player's England role after replacing Gareth Southgate.
Interim boss Carsley named his first England squad following his appointment ahead of next month's Nations League fixtures against Ireland and Finland.
He handed FOUR players their first senior call-up while dropping several big stars that made Southgate's Euro 2024 squad this summer.
On Thursday, Carsley fielded questions from the media in a press conference as he revealed where he will play Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Southgate listed Alexander-Arnold as a midfielder despite playing at right-back for Liverpool.
And the 25-year-old started in midfield for England's opening two games at Euro 2024 before being dropped for Conor Gallagher then Kobbie Mainoo.
Carsley, however, sees Alexander-Arnold as a right-back over a midfielder.
"At some point I think we will see him arrive into some areas in midfield but I see him as right-back," he explained.

Alexander-Arnold, who has started Liverpool's opening two games in the new Premier League season, could start England's two matches in September, with Manchester City's Kyle Walker omitted from the squad.
The 50-year-old said Walker was not selected because he is yet to play this season and is being eased back following the Euros.
Carsley added: "It’s important to also recognise how well (England) done in the past. We’ve come so close (to winning a trophy) but I thought it was important to put some fresh faces in the squad."

Levi Colwill, Rico Lewis and Tino Livramento are among the other full-back options.
