In April a very short trailer was shared to give a glimpse of what to expect and after a quiet period, things have been ramped up a notch ahead of what is set to be a September worldwide release on all good consoles.
The cover for the 'Ultimate Edition' was released on Monday and featured a total of 31 different players in virtual form, including stars like Erling Haaland, Virgil van Dijk, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Marcus Rashford, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Pele, Andrea Pirlo, Didier Drogba, Heung-Min Son, Bukayo Saka, Alexander Isak, Enzo Fernandez, Leah Williamson and Sam Kerr.
Surprisingly, there was no place for Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Kylian Mbappe and some comments were made about the state of the graphics.

We do see a number of new, immersive pre-match scenes in changing rooms and the gym, as well as the new signings and kits on show.
There also appears to be male and female players on the same team - something which has been heavily rumoured for the Ultimate Team mode.
The official press release reads: "In the EA SPORTS FC 24 Official Announcement video, powered entirely by the EA SPORTS Frostbite game engine, fans can see the FC 24 Ultimate Edition cover come to life and get their first look at the new game. With voice by Daniel Kaluuya, Academy Award-winning actor, producer and writer, the video showcases EA SPORTS’ commitment to bringing the global EA SPORTS FC community closer than ever to the World’s Greatest Game and invites fans to join the future of football. A future built for fans, by fans."
Despite the change in name and approach, EA have still retained many official licenses for high-profile leagues, teams and players all over the world.
