Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he received “many opportunities” from different clubs in Europe ahead of his signing for Al Nassr.
Ronaldo was axed from his Manchester United contract after his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.
The 37-year-old Portuguese forward inked a lucrative two-year deal with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr after Portugal crashed out of the World Cup in Qatar.

As part of the deal, Ronaldo catapulted himself to the status of the highest-paid player in the world after signing his eye-watering £175m-a-year contract.
The United and Real Madrid legend arrived in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh on Monday night ahead of his medical at Al Nassr.
During his press conference ahead of his official unveiling on Tuesday, former Juventus star Ronaldo claimed that he had received “opportunities” from all around the world.

“For me, this is a great opportunity not only in football but also to change the mentality of the new generation,” he explained.
“As nobody know but I can say now, I had many opportunities in Europe, many clubs in Brazil, in Australia, in USA and even in Portugal.
“Many clubs tried to sign me but I gave the word to this club for the opportunity to develop not only the football but the other part of this amazing country.

“And for me this is a good challenge. I know what I want, and I know of course what I don’t want as well, so for me it’s a good chance to change [and] to help with my knowledge and my experience.”
Ronaldo added that he was happy with the “big decision” to move to Al Nassr, but the five-time Ballon d’Or winner also claimed that his work in Europe was “done.”
