Clearly taken back by Romero's advances, Mbappe appeared to flee before Romero chased him down again.
In the video posted to Twitter, the scoreboard and clock is cut off, so we're unable to work out when exactly this occurred within the 120 minutes of action.
That aside, fans are all saying the same thing, wondering whether Romero's act was revenge for his Spurs teammate Kane.
Of course, Mbappe made headlines around the world after he was seen laughing in Kane's direction after the England captain skied his penalty in the quarter-final clash with France.

If it was - in fact - to avenge his club captain, then fair play to Romero.
On the other hand, if it was purely scare tactics, then fair play again as it clearly worked.
Either way, football fans appeared to absolutely love it, many of whom calling it 'pure s**thousery'.
