Shakhtar Donetsk have made an announcement regarding star player Mykhailo Mudryk amid ongoing talks with Arsenal - but it doesn't relate to a transfer.
The Gunners remain locked in talks to sign the Ukrainian winger, having submitted a third bid on Thursday. Fabrizio Romano has claimed the offer is worth £62 million plus add-ons, which will take the bid into the region of the £88 million asking price.
Mudryk has dropped several hints that he wants to join the Gunners, with his team-mates even making predictions about his future during the World Cup.

But the latest reports from The Athletic claim that Arsenal have told Shakhtar how far they are willing to go to sign the 22-year-old, suggesting their third bid may well be their last offer.
And the club account promised to reveal some information about Mudryk once they reached a certain number of followers - and used that to poke fun at the ongoing media attention over the transfer.
Shakhtar make Mudryk announcement
With the Ukrainian club now back in training following the winter break, their attention has turned to the resumption of the Ukrainian Premier League season.

And taking to Twitter, Shakhtar's English account teased an impending announcement in regards to Mudryk's future, following a post which detailed their fixture schedule for the next month.
However, it was not to be a post confirming the 22-year-old's move to the Emirates.
Instead, the club announced that Mudryk is their 2022 winner of their Player of the Year award, and attached images of his manager, Igor Jovicevic, celebrating the award win with him.

Whilst that isn't a transfer confirmation, it is another sign of exactly why Arsenal have named Mudryk as their priority target for January, given his impressive performances.
If he does make the move to the Emirates next week, he could be included in the squad to face Manchester United on January 22.
