Arsenal target Mykhailo Mudryk was spotted in deep conversation with the Shakhtar Donetsk chiefs, as talks between the Ukrainian giant and the Gunners continue.
Mikel Arteta's side have made the 22-year-old their No.1 transfer target and seen two bids worth up to £62million rejected for the player in the past two weeks alone.
Shakhtar have publicly said they would expect a fee in the region of £88million for the winger, meaning Arsenal still lie over £20million short of Mudryk’s asking price.

The transfer saga has also seen the player attract interest from Chelsea, despite the forward having repeatedly expressed a desire to move to north London.
While unconfirmed reports are circulating that a deal between Shakhtar and Arsenal has finally been agreed upon, a video has been posted online suggesting otherwise.

In a clip posted by Shakhtar on social media, the winger can be seen in an intense conversation with Shakhtar Donetsk chief Darijo Srna.

Srna, the former Croatia star, then zips up the youngster’s jumper and pats him on the shoulder, before Mudryk walks away with a pensive look on his face.
Granville Williams, who is host and pundit of Arsenal channel The Armoury TV, tweeted in response to the video: “Mudryk hands on hips and straight-faced looks like a frustrated figure, while Srna comes across as ‘Try to understand where we are coming from.’
“I'm optimistic Mudryk joins, but right now, where I'm from, this isn't a done deal yet!”
Despite being five points clear at the summit of the Premier League, the Gunners are short in forward positions.

Indeed, an injury to £45million summer signing Gabriel Jesus at the World Cup has sharpened Arsenal's need for attacking reinforcements.
