Tickets for Arsenal’s final home match of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers were being sold for sky-high prices before their title charge was halted.
On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal had to get the better of Brighton and Hove Albion in order to keep pace with Manchester City.
However, second-half goals from Julio Cesar Encsio, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan stunned the Emirates crowd into utter silence as Brighton came away 3-0 winners.
On the back of that result, City now only require two points from their remaining three matches to clinch the title.

Back in March, Arsenal fans were getting more and more confident that they would be able to hang on and lift the Premier League trophy.
As a result, it was reported that tickets for the Gunners’ final home match were being sold for ridiculous prices as fans all wanted to be present when the team lift the trophy.
At one stage, according to The Sun, tickets were being sold for an eye-watering price of £53,000. Usually, the price for the dearest tickets is £131.
Whilst it is unconfirmed whether anyone bought the tickets for such a high amount, it is clear that the optimism amongst the Gunners fanbase has now evaporated.

After the match, a dejected Martin Odegaard admitted the title race is pretty much over.
He said: “It looks difficult, to be honest, we have to be realistic, I don’t think City are going to make many mistakes now.
“The only thing we can do now is get back and finish the season in a good way, I think everyone deserves that, especially the fans. That’s the only thing we can do and we’ll have to see.”
Arsenal will be back in Premier League action this weekend as they take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday, if they lose, City will become champions.
