Tate said he wouldn't fight Mayweather before going on to claim he'd been offered that fight previously.
"He is one of my heroes so I couldn’t bring myself to do it," the 35-year-old said. "He’s retired and he’s small and I’m a lot bigger than him. I wouldn’t get knocked out, I’d be totally fine."
Tate went one step further in his praise, calling Mayweather a personal 'hero' of his after a stellar career. Mayweather's managed to accumulate a net worth of $450 million thanks to a number of business ventures outside the ring.

"I have very few heroes in the world and he’s one of them."
