Phil Foden has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract extension, keeping him at the Manchester City until at least 2027.
The Stockport-born forward broke through the academy in late-2017 - making his senior debut against Feyenoord - and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
It was clear from the start that Foden was destined for the very top, and at just 22 years of age, he is already recognised as one of the best young players in Europe.

That's not without merit either. His elite performances in the Premier League have been rewarded with back-to-back PFA Young Player of the Year awards.
On the collective front, he has played a major role in four Premier League title victories, one FA Cup, four Carabao Cups and two Community Shield's.
In his 182 senior appearances, he has scored 52 goals and provided 36 assists.

Speaking to the club's official website in the wake of the news, Foden said, "It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to have signed this contract. It’s a dream come true.
“I have been a City fan all my life. I’ve trained here for so many years and I’ve even been a ball boy. I love this club so much, so to know I am going to be a part of it until 2027 feels amazing."
He continued, “I’ve improved a lot in recent years and so much of that is down to Pep and his staff, who guide me every single day on the training field. Working with them gives me the best chance of improving even more and becoming the best player I can be.
“With the squad we have here, I feel I can keep learning and winning trophies. Those are the two most important things to me.

“I want to thank every single person at City because without them I would not be where I am today. All the Academy coaches I worked with, all the players I’ve played with and everyone who works behind the scenes. It’s an honour to be part of this football club."
Also giving his reaction, City's Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain said, "We are all so proud of Phil and what he has achieved already – but we know there is so much more to come.
“His natural talent and ability are obvious, but his hard work, professionalism and dedication make him really special. He loves football more than anything and his desire to improve is really incredible.
"We feel he can progress further and become even better than he is today. By signing this contract, he now has stability and can focus absolutely everything on becoming one of the best players in the world, which we feel he can be."

Foden will now be fully focused on winning even more silverware with his boyhood club in the upcoming season.
A new-look Manchester City team - which consists of marquee signing Erling Haaland - will be looking to retain their domestic crown and go one step further in the Champions League.
The England international has spent the majority of his time on the left wing, but is capable of operating in midfield or the false nine.

Now a vital member of Guardiola's squad, the Catalan boss will be turning to Foden to produce some big moments for his side this season.
There is no doubting his capabilities, with supporters suggesting he can be a future Ballon d'Or winner.
