After 20 minutes of a closely contested game, Kevin De Bruyne would end the Seagulls' comeback hopes, as he beamed the ball into the top right corner of the goal, further extending the Blues' lead.
The three points which City picked up against Brighton bring them to within two points of Arsenal after their draw with Southampton on Sunday.
On the other side of the ticket in midweek sit Borussia Dortmund, who had quite the weekend in the Bundesliga, beating VfB Stuttgart 5-0.

When the two sides met back in September, the Blues came out on top of the Black and Yellows after goals from John Stones and Erling Haaland.
