Manchester City will have to present an outstanding offer to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton this summer, according to a new report.
The Premier League champions have made the 23-year-old defender a key target ahead of the new campaign and have already completed the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
River Plate forward Julian Alvarez is soon expected in Manchester to complete his switch to the Etihad Stadium after his move to City was confirmed on the final day of the January transfer window.

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak confirmed in his end-of-season interview with the club that the Blues will be making fresh additions to their squad having already closed deals for Haaland and Alvarez.
Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester and City are soon expected to make a formal approach for the England international - with the hope of getting both deals over the line before they fly to the United States for pre-season next month.
It was reported recently City will also soon present their first official bid to Brighton for Marc Cucurella, who has emerged as Pep Guardiola's top target at left-back this summer after enjoying an eye-catching debut campaign at the Amex following his arrival from Getafe last summer.

As per the latest information of Andy Naylor of The Athletic, with four years remaining on the Spaniard's contract at Brighton, it would take an outstanding offer from Manchester City to persuade the Seagulls into cashing in on one of their most prised assets.
It has been stated that Brighton will not stand in Cucurella's way should he express a desire to join hands with Pep Guardiola in Manchester, though a move will only materialise if Manchester City match Brighton's asking price for the full-back.
It is understood a move is nowhere near an advanced stage though things could speed up soon after it was revealed a member of Marc Cucurella's camp travelled to Manchester last week to hold talks with the Premier League champions over a potential deal for the Brighton star.

Cucurella has also attracted interest from Chelsea but Manchester City are believed to be the clear frontrunners in the race to sign the La Masia graduate.
The prospect of working under Pep Guardiola and competing for major trophies could very well tempt Cucurella into pushing for a move, though it will all depend on how much Manchester City are willing to pay for the left-back.
