The much-anticipated heavyweight title fight between the pair was postponed on Friday evening, with Queensberry Promotions confirming Fury had suffered a cut that required 'urgent medical attention and significant stitching'.

"I will reschedule as soon as I can. 2024 a massive year for team GK."
According to Boxing News, plans are now being 'explored' for Usyk to take on IBF mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic on February 17 - the date of the proposed Fury fight - in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The blue ring mat in the video carries the date of Fury's fight - February 17 2024 - with the fight's moniker 'Ring of Fire' also visible.
The video shows Fury, who is wearing a headguard, getting struck around the area of his right eye.
He is then heard shouting an expletive before shouting out again in anger. Fury then walks to the opposite corner of the ring, holding his glove above his right eye.
It is yet to be confirmed as to whether this was the exact moment Fury suffered the cut, or whether it happened at an earlier point in sparring.

A Queensberry Promotions spokesperson announced in a press release following news of the postponement: "Whilst this is still breaking news, it is clearly a massive disappointment, after the work that has been done by so many people to finally deliver this historic event to the world.
"Once the doctors have appraised Tyson's eye, we will have a better idea of the period of recovery needed.
"Once known, we will work diligently with all the stakeholders and the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia to reschedule this fight as soon as possible and will of course keep everyone updated with developments.
