Heavyweight world title challenger Derek Chisora has made a shock claim about Chris Eubank Jr. just hours before his bout with Conor Benn.
Eubank, 35, and Benn, 28, will finally go toe-to-toe on Saturday evening (April 26) in a middleweight contest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
And as you may have expected, fight week has not been without drama. On Thursday (April 24), the pair took part in the final press conference ahead of the fight, with Eubank Jr. cutting a reflective and even emotional figure when revealing the “pain” he has suffered in his personal life in recent years.
Meanwhile, Benn vowed to knock his opponent’s “head clean off”.

On Friday morning (April 25), both fighters weighed in with Benn coming in well under the 160lb limit at 156 lbs 4oz while Eubank failed to make the middleweight maximum and tipped the scales at 160.05lbs, which cost him £375,000 of his fight purse.
Both fighters also had to stay within 10lbs of the middleweight limit during a further weight check on fight day (April 26), which they both did successfully.
Benn was 165lbs while Eubank was 169.4lbs.

"Weight has no relevance," Eubank said. "I'm going to go in there and stop this guy.
"All these things are set up to distract and displace and try to get me off track. None of it will work.”
And several big names from the boxing community have already given their predictions ahead of fight night. Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew even claimed one fighter ‘won’t lose a round’.
Meanwhile, Chisora gave some inside information ahead of the showpiece event.

“I want Conor to win, but it’s gonna be a hard fight for both fighters," Chisora told talkSPORT on Friday. "I had a guy sparring Chris, yeah, and they [told me] Chris is not doing so much work, but when he hits you with his combinations, he doesn’t throw one shot or three shots, he throws seven shots, and they all land.”
"The smart money is on Eubank," Chisora said in another interview with BBC Sport. "He had fights when Benn was on holiday. But I'm friends with Benn, he comes to my house so my money is on him. I'm 50-50 but I'll go with Benn because I want him to win because of his family and legacy."
