Chris Eubank Jr could lose £1m if he breaks strict rule ahead of Conor Benn fight

It's written in Chris Eubank Jr.'s contract to face Conor Benn.

Chris Eubank Jr. must follow a strict rule for his fight against Conor Benn or risk losing £1 million.

Eubank Jr. vs. Benn is just days away as the British pair will settle their rivalry at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

They come face-to-face in the pre-fight conference tonight, with Eubank Jr. set to make a bold statement with his choice of attire.

After Thursday's presser, Eubank Jr. and Benn will go head-to-head for the final time in Friday's ceremonial weigh-ins.

Both fighters will have to weigh in at the middleweight limit of 160lbs.

And neither fighter can be more than 10lbs over the 160lbs limit when they re-weigh on the day of the fight.

Considering Benn is moving up from welterweight, he should have no problem making the middleweight limit.

If Eubank Jr., however, misses the fight-day weigh-in, then he will have to forfeit a portion of his mega purse.

It is understood he will face a fine worth a staggering £1 million if he fails to make the limit.

On his rehydration clause, he said: "I can change my mind at any time but it will cost me a substantial amount of money. I don’t want to lose $1m so I’m pretty sure I’m going to stick to it."

The 35-year-old has never had to make weight additionally on fight day, calling it 'uncharted territory'.

In another interview, he admitted: "Uncharted territory. It's one of those things that when a challenge is put in front of me, I don't shy away from it. It excites me."

Eubank Jr., who has campaigned as high as super-middleweight, insists it will be a tough process as he looks to make the contracted weight limit.

"The real weight cut doesn't really come until the week of the fight for most fighters," he added.

"It's tough. I'm not going to lie. It's not fun, it's not nice. It's part of the sport having to boil yourself down to a certain weight.

"Adding in the fact I can't even drink as much as I want after the weigh-in adds another element of discomfort, hardship to what I'm going through.

"But this is what we sign up for. This is what we do as professional athletes. As elite-level fighters we have to go through these trials, these tribulations.

"I've been doing it my entire career so I have no doubt that the weight will be made."
