Israel Adesanya has leapt to the defence of Joe Rogan following the UFC commentator's latest podcast controversy.
Rogan was forced to issue a public apology recently after a compilation video surfaced online where he uses the "N-word" multiple times live on air.
The incident is just the latest controversy facing the popular podcaster, who most notably came under fire for allegedly "spreading misinformation" about the Covid-19 vaccine during episodes.
As a result of his comments, Rogan has received a ton of backlash, although UFC champion Adesanya has now come out to bat for him.
"First off, let me take this one," Adesanya said at the UFC 271 press conference.
"Hold up. I'm Black. I can take this one. Look, there's a lot of c**ts in this game. There are a lot of snakes in this game. I've been in this fight game since 2008. Joe Rogan is one of the nicest, coolest, humble motherf**kers I've had the pleasure of working with. Understand that.
"F**k the noise. You know what they're trying to do. You can't control the man. He's got the biggest platform in the world right now. That's my n*gga Joe Rogan. F**k the noise... Just keep doing you, Joe. Have some mushrooms. Keep doing you."
He then doubled down on his comments after the press conference.
"United we stand, divided we fall," Adesanya said via Instagram.
"We are living in very strange times. When a voice speaks out against the mainstream narrative, the establishment have a systematic way of shutting said voice down. I'm not asking you to think like me, I encourage you to turn off your tv and think for yourself. Don't let them pull the wool over your eyes."
