Chelsea forward Timo Werner is ready to accept a massive pay cut in order to leave for RB Leipzig this summer, according to reports.
The striker has struggled since arriving at Stamford Bridge and failed to live up his reputation from his days in the Bundesliga.
Werner has previously admitted that he could see his future away from Chelsea and was not in the Blues’ squad to face Udinese on Friday evening, due to injury.

Speaking regarding his future earlier in the month, Werner admitted: “It is hard to say (if clear the air talks are needed). First of all, the most important thing is that I am happy. I am happy when I play and score goals. That’s the fact. That’s what I should take care of and the other things will come.
"I could be happy everywhere. It is hard to say (why I've struggled for game time). I didn’t ask but I think of course the manager always has different ideas, different thoughts and what you need in different games, I think in many games I was not in his thoughts so I try to change that.
"It is clear I want to play more and I should play more to first be in good shape for the World Cup and also, to have a chance to play at the World Cup.

"I think it doesn’t change anything whether it is a winter World Cup or in the summer.
"I think if I play half of the season or the whole season, I should play.
"It’s not different to last season. I think it was the same when Romelu (Lukaku) came here that we have big, big competition up front. It is still the same.

"At a big club like Chelsea you have that competition. In pre-season you can show that you want to play that you are a guy who wants to be in the starting XI. That’s what I try."
Recent reports have linked the forward with a move back to RB Leipzig, where he enjoyed the highest goal scoring seasons of his career.
It appears that a move could happen this summer, with the latest developments reported.

According to German media outlet Bild, Werner would like to go back to RB Leipzig and is ready to accept a pay cut to do so.
He is said to be ready to halve his salary to see a move back to the Bundesliga, but it may not be that simple for RB Leipzig.
The German side face competition for his signature as the likes of Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Juventus are said to be interested in the forward.
It remains to be seen as to whether he will be granted his departure this summer as Thomas Tuchel looks to rebuild his squad ahead of the Premier League season.
