Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech could be on the move to Italy as AC Milan have made new contact over signing the Moroccan, according to reports.
In the summer of 2020, the 29-year-old completed a move from AFC Ajax to Chelsea to work under Frank Lampard on a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
Two years down the line and the transfer has not gone as well as expected.

Ziyech has had a rocky time in England, despite putting in some stellar performances along the way, he has been hampered throughout by injuries.
Last season he managed to appear 44 times under Thomas Tuchel, finding the back of the net eight times and providing six assists in all competitions.
He helped the Blues lift both the Super Cup and Club World Cup, but previous reports have suggested that he is not in Tuchel’s plans for next season.

The signing of Raheem Sterling that is worth up to £50 million from Manchester City this summer has seen his name fall further out of favour and left him without a place at Chelsea.
With the Moroccan heavily linked with a switch to the Serie A, and AC Milan in particular, in past transfer window, it appears that he could finally be on the move this summer.
As reported by Daniele Longo, new contracts between the Serie A side and Chelsea have taken place.

These are said to have taken place on Friday, with AC Milan keeping the option ‘alive’ for Ziyech.
It was believed that talks have already taken place for a deal worth up to €25 million to see Ziyech move to Milan.
However, these have died down in recent weeks as Chelsea missed out on Raphinha to Barcelona.
Ziyech has since made a bold career choice, parting companies with his agent to take control of his career decisions.

He revealed: “I have reached a point in my life where I feel that the time is right for me to take full control of my professional future.
“I want negotiations and decisions about my career to be made by me. So moving forward, my team and I, together with our legal representatives, will handle the business side of things.
“Professional interest should be directed to the contact info in my bio. I remain grateful for your continued support.”

It remains to be seen as to whether the winger will find himself on the way out of Chelsea this summer as the Blues conclude their pre-season tour of the United States.
One thing is for sure, AC Milan are still interested in signing the Chelsea forward.
