"Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here.
“As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition.

“Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach.
“There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made.”
The early frontrunners for the job are Brighton's Graham Potter, former Spurs and PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane.

The report states that Tuchel was informed of the decision on Wednesday, with Anthony Barry set to take temporary charge until a replacement is found.
The loss in Zagreb was not believed to be the sole reason for his dismissal, with Law stating that his sacking is not based purely on results or Chelsea’s poor start to the season.
There was a growing concern that Tuchel was not the right man to lead the new era under the owners, with his future in doubt regardless of the result in their Champions League opener.
Furthermore, sources have claimed that Tuchel’s relationship with a number of Chelsea’s squad has deteriorated. Law continues to report that his team selections have caused surprise and frustration among the players, who felt unfairly treated of played out of position.

Furthermore, it was stated that during a review after 100 days of active ownership, the new Blues owners discussed their progress in creating a new culture at the club and the long-term prospects of Tuchel.
The German had done little to prove that he wanted to take a proactive part of it.
It remains to be seen as to what is next for Chelsea as the search for a new manager is underway.
