Inter Milan are keen on bringing Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku back to the club less than a year after his departure, according to reports in Italy.
The 29-year-old failed to establish himself as a first team regular under Thomas Tuchel since signing for a club-record fee last summer.
According to the print edition of Corriere dello Sport, Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hopeful of signing Lukaku this summer.

The report states that Inzaghi is particularly keen to work with Lukaku next season, having only spent 10 days training with the Belgian before he joined Chelsea last summer.
Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte at the San Siro and was dealt instant blows to his squad, with Achraf Hakimi and Lukaku both sold after winning the title in Italy.
Inter lost out on the league title to their city rivals, AC Milan, the following year and are looking to add to their squad this summer.

Inter Milan legend Beppe Bergomi revealed just how impressed Inzaghi was with Lukaku last summer, training him for 10 days before his return to Chelsea.
Bergomi previously revealed: “Lukaku was the best one in Italy, I still think that Inter would be another team with him.
“With all the respect for Edin Dzeko and the others, Lukaku had a different impact in terms of power, pace and leadership. He had Inter in his hands. If there were the conditions, I would bring him back to Inter.
“Inzaghi confessed to me that he’s never coached such a strong striker despite working with him for just 10 days.”

Corriere dello Sport continue to report that Inzaghi initially expected to be given the opportunity to work with Lukaku, who scored 30 goals and registered 10 assist in 44 games last season.
There was reportedly no indication that the Serie A side would sell Lukaku last summer but the huge £97.5m offer from Chelsea was enough to convince both Inter and the player to depart.
The Italian manager is keen to build his new-look Inter attack around the Belgian, whose return could come in the form of a loan as his former side cannot afford a high transfer fee.

It remains to be seen as to whether Chelsea will allow Lukaku to leave on loan but a move looks increasingly likely in the summer.
The 29-year-old is currently on international duty with Belgium but will miss their Nations League clash against Poland on Wednesday through injury.
Tuchel will most likely make a decision regarding his number nine this summer as he looks to rebuild his Chelsea squad.

Inter's Lautaro Martinez could be considered as a replacement for Lukaku if he is to depart.
