Romelu Lukaku has completed his return to Inter Milan for the 2022/23 season from Chelsea, it has been confirmed.
After just one season in England following his club-record £97.5 million transfer from the San Siro, the 29-year-old has departed back to Italy for the upcoming campaign.
Lukaku netted 15 goals for Chelsea in all competitions last term, but his switch back to the Nerazzurri has now been announced.
Lukaku said: "I'm back baby. I'm very happy. Remember three years ago when we were here? Good to be back. That's what we are here for (to score lots of goals), I keep my promises you know that. Thanks for having me. Forza, Inter!"
Steven Zhang was delighted with the Belgian's return, who made a promise to score as many goals on his return.

Following weeks of negotiations between all parties, Thomas Tuchel has been given the backing by Todd Boehly and the new Chelsea owners after falling out with the Belgium international.
Lukaku's relationship with the Blues head coach was 'badly strained' and a decision was made to let him return to Italy. Boehly wasn't fully convinced but was convinced it was the right call ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
The start of Lukaku's decline in west London was his unauthorised interview with Sky Italia last December, questioning Tuchel's tactics and also expressing his love for Inter.

That was the start of the end for Lukaku. Inter will pay €7 million plus add-ons for his services next season.
There is no option or obligation to buy next summer. Lukaku has taken a pay-cut to leave Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be hoping the move works out and Lukaku to be a success back in Italy with the hope of increasing his value upon his return next summer.

His lawyer, Sébastien Ledure, remained unsure over what will happen in 2023.
He told Sky Italia: "What happens next year? We don’t know yet, we’ll see in 2023 - now’s time to enjoy his comeback."
Tuchel is set to replace Lukaku with Leeds United's Raphinha after agreeing a fee in excess of £55 million, while Raheem Sterling is hoped to join as the Blues bolster their attack.
Boehly and co have got their first big outgoing finalised and confirm, which will come as relief to all concerned.

Chelsea will be eager for the 29-year-old to succeed in Italy next term in the hope of preserving and increasing his value ahead of next summer where another decision will need to be made on his long-term future in west London.
