John Cena is the centrepiece of the recently released WWE 2K23 game.
And for any fans of the legendary wrestler, there’s a unique and hilarious surprise within the game.
The ‘Showcase’ mode for the 2023 version of the game features some of the greatest John Cena matches throughout his career.

But in a twist, you get to play as the 16-time world champion’s most iconic opponents, rather than as Cena himself.
Along the story mode, you can unlock different versions of the ever-popular superstar, including one of ‘The Prototype’ which was his first-ever character in the WWE.
However, there’s one secret unlockable that you can achieve by completing the Showcase Mode which is a fantastic surprise.
If you make it all the way to the ‘bonus match’ you come up against ‘Super Cena’ an invisible version of the man himself.
Of course, this is a hilarious way to play on the famous Cena slogan ‘you can’t see me’, and a great way to incorporate the hilarious meme into the game.

Clips shared online show the future Hall of Famer coming out dressed in his usual cartoon-like attire, just without limbs or a face.
His trademark baseball hat sits atop an empty head with his armbands seemingly hanging in the air.
Genius.

If you win the bonus match, you unlock the character to play as throughout the other game modes.
He’s also the highest-rated wrestler in the game - a brilliant incentive to finish the story mode.
It’s not the only special version of Cena within the game either.
Fans have found an equally hilarious iteration of the wrestling GOAT - an action-figure version.

It’s fair to say the toy version of Cena looks incredible as well.
Throughout the Showcase mode, you play as the likes of Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and The Rock as a few of the notable opponents to have ever defeated the 45-year-old in his career.
The release of the video game comes as Cena preps for his return to WrestleMania, challenging Austin Theory for the United States championship.
