The Rock had a furious exchange with Triple H at the end of the WrestleMania 40 press conference - leading WWE fans to brand it as a modern Attitude Era segment.
The WrestleMania Kick-Off show, which took place overnight in Las Vegas, was one of the most eagerly-anticipated events in recent WWE history.
It centred around the decision of Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, and whether he would declare himself as the challenger to Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 in April.

If you've been following the story, you'll know that fans have flooded social media in the past seven days in support of Rhodes getting his rematch with Reigns and finally 'finishing the story'.
The social media campaign began after The Rock made an appearance on SmackDown during Reigns and Rhodes' promo, with the heavy inference being that he would fight real-life relative Reigns at WrestleMania 40 instead.

But in Vegas, Rhodes declared he had made his decision - and would be taking on Reigns at 'The Show of Shows'.
After a brief verbal exchange, Rhodes then turned towards Reigns, before stating: "If your grandfather and his grandfather were here, they'd be ashamed of you."
The Rock then stepped forward and slapped Rhodes, with security rushing to pull the pair apart.
After the event, WWE head of creative Triple H was asked about that specific moment - but got interrupted by Rock and Reigns.

You can see what happened next below.
As Triple H was being interviewed, The Rock shouted: "It's a lot of bulls**t. It's a lot of bulls**t is what it is.

"You've got to fix it. Have him talk s**t about our family again, and that's what happens."
Triple H responded: "It's out of line, and you know it."
But The Rock wasn't having any of it, firing back: "It's not out of line. If you don't fix it, we will. Have him talk s**t about our family again, I'll slap the f***ing teeth right out of his mouth."
The reaction of interviewer Jackie Redmond after that moment pretty much sums up how most WWE fans felt.

And fans couldn't help but compare to the segment to the infamous Attitude Era, which was headed up by the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H at the end of the 1990s.
One fan wrote: "The Rock and Triple H giving Attitude Era vibes backstage!"
Another said: "Most Attitude Era level stuff I have seen in some time."
A third added: "Like this is crazy man, we're really back in the Attitude Era."
A fourth exclaimed: "This era will be remembered for years to come, just like the Attitude Era. So just ENJOY IT."
