WWE are said to be 'working on a deal' to have Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo at their Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia, according to reports.
A host of footballers have competed in the squared circle over the years, including former Norwich striker Grant Holt, German goalkeeper Tim Wiese and ex-Wycombe Wanderers forward Adebayo Akinfenwa.
Wayne Rooney even got involved in the wrestling business, when he slapped Lancashire-born superstar Wade Barrett at the 2015 WWE Raw event in Manchester.

But what about former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo? Last year, NXT star Apollo Crews tipped the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for a career in wrestling after his football career comes to an end.
"Honestly, with that mentality to be a top athlete in the world on that level, I think just on the mentality alone he would've done okay," Crews told Metro.
"When you start the physical part, that's a different story, though, for most people. But again, [he's] a world-class athlete so I wouldn't put it past him.”

Let's be honest; the likelihood of Ronaldo being signed by the WWE to compete is extremely low.
But the company are keen on striking a deal for the 38-year-old to be a "superstar guest" at Saudi Arabia's Crown Jewel event in November, according to Spanish publication AS.
WWE recently agreed to merge with the UFC to create a so-called “$21billlion+ live sports and entertainment powerhouse” and of course, the UFC are renowned for having big names at their PPV events.
Now, it appears Endeavor want to boost the Crown Jewel's profile by sending an invite to one of the biggest stars in sport.

The report mentions a 'large appearance fee' when discussing the possibility of Ronaldo attending the event as they look to increase their potential revenue by having Portugal's all-time top goalscorer attend.
In addition to the above, wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp has posted the following update on rumours linking Ronaldo with a guest appearance at Crown Jewel.
He wrote on Twitter: "I've asked WWE about the rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo-WWE appearances, and they didn't have an answer."
