The Rock has provided a major update on his WWE future.
Fans watching Wrestlemania 40 were treated to the return of several of the WWE’s most iconic characters, for a two-day show labelled by the company’s chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque as "the biggest WrestleMania of all time".
John Cena, The Rock and the Undertaker all made an appearance as Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed Universal Heavyweight World Championship.

The Rock, one the biggest names in the company’s history, made his return to the Philadelphia event, more than 25 years after his wrestling debut.
Of course, The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, has pivoted to Hollywood in the last two decades and at various points been named the highest-paid actor in the world.
While his WWE commitments have in turn, been compromised somewhat, The Rock hinted that he still has a future performing for the company during Wrestlemania 40.

After partnering with Reigns to take on Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag-team match in the main event of the first night, the Rock said he had “to go away for a little while."
However, The Great One insisted that when he returns, irrespective of whether Rhodes is champion or not, he was coming for him.
He said while Rhodes' story with Reigns may be over, "our story has just begun", suggesting he has a WWE future.

In September 2023, The Rock returned to the WWE ring after a four-year hiatus.
That day he told Pat McAfee: “Honestly brother, it’s not the injury that I’m concerned about because that’s just part of it.
“It’s just part of the game you sign up for. You get hurt, we all get hurt. That’s just the way it is.
“It’s not even the schedule, because I can control the schedule to a large degree. Me going back to WWE and wrestling a match, it always comes down to the reason why and what can we create that’s never been done before for the fans.”
