WWE legend Randy Orton has been told not to return to the sport amid rumours of a comeback.
The 43-year-old has been away from the sport for almost a year as he continues to battle injury problems.
Orton’s last appearance inside the ring was in May 2022, when he lost against the Usos alongside Matt Riddle in a title unification bout.

In November 2022, Orton went under the knife for back fusion surgery and has been recovering since.
Recently, Orton’s WWE future has been thrown up in the air as his father, Bob Jnr revealed that Orton has been told not to return to the sport by doctors.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, he said: “He's training, so we'll see what happens; I don't know. If he feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might, but again he's pretty well taken care of. I don't think he needs to.

“And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.”
Orton, aka ‘The Viper’ has enjoyed a stellar career in wrestling as he has 14 world championship titles to his name across 20 years in the sport.
Last year, shortly after his injury, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long urged Orton to do the right thing.

He said: “Randy Orton, a great friend of mine, too, had a lot of great times with him there. I just hope Randy makes the right decision, you know.
“There are people like Edge, Kurt Angle, that said they wouldn’t come back once they found out they had injuries and the doctors told them it’d be dangerous for them to return to the ring.”
He continued: “I just hope Randy does the right thing. If the doctors tell you to stay out of the ring, I suggest you stay out of the ring.”
