Shane McMahon makes shocking return to WWE and appears to seriously injure himself

A thunderous reaction turned into concern after McMahon appeared to seriously hurt his knee.

Shane McMahon made his shocking return to the WWE at WrestleMania to have an impromptu match with The Miz but it all ended in disaster.

In scenes similar to the night before where Mania co-host Snoop Dogg put together an impromptu match between The Miz and Pat McAfee, the D-O-double-G put his co-host in yet another peculiar moment.

The former WWE champion was grilling the rapper about booking him in such a position the night before, when the Dogg decided to do it again.

Out came a returning Shane O’Mac who hadn’t appeared in WWE for over a year.

It was a thunderous reaction for the returning superstar as a referee was soon called into the ring and the match got underway.

However, things soon turned ugly as it looked as though McMahon seriously hurt himself as he went down in what looked to be an unplanned moment.

He lay grimacing on the floor holding his knee, as The Miz, the referee, and the crowd were unsure what to do.

A doctor came in and checked on the 53-year-old as they rolled him out of the ring.

Snoop came to the rescue to help save the segment as he delivered a right hand to The Miz and dropped him.

He then delivered his version of The People’s Elbow - the Doggy Elbow.

He then covered The Miz and secured the win for himself.

It was an odd moment that was scarred by McMahon injuring himself so soon after returning to the WWE to the delight of the fans.

Here’s hoping the injury isn’t too serious.
