WWE legend John Cena has been praised for his response to a fan who approached him while he was eating with a friend.
The 46-year-old is rarely seen inside a WWE ring these days, with his only match so far in 2023 coming against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39.
Theory put his United States Championship on the line in what ended up being a winning effort.

Cena now focuses much more on his acting career, which has seen him star in the Fast and Furious and Marvel franchises. He also plays the main character of Peacemaker in the TV series of the same name.
The range of acting roles that the 16-time WWE world champion plays means that he appears in a lot of different locations. Earlier this month, Cena was spotted working out in a gym in Liverpool.
On a more recent occasion, however, the wrestling icon was approached while eating dinner with a friend at a restaurant - and although Cena wasn't happy at being interrupted, he dealt with it in a matter-of-fact way.

In a TikTok video, a fan walked towards Cena, who was sitting down with a friend, before asking him to perform his signature 'You Can't See Me' taunt from WWE.
The 'Doctor of Thuganomics', however, clearly wanted to be left alone at that particular moment, and replied: "Can I enjoy some time with my friends?"
The fan then apologised, to which Cena gave a smile and a nod before carrying on with his conversation.
And the WWE legend was praised by fans for how he dealt with the interruption.

One said: "How can you hate John Cena he's so chill."
Another wrote: "I know it's 'part of the profession', but I feel bad for people like him sometimes."
A third added: "We're all allowed a private life no matter who we are or what we do. John Cena is no different to any one of us in that respect."
"Least Cena was nice and polite about saying basically I would like to be left alone," a fourth fan stated.

Another fan, meanwhile, went at it from a slightly different angle: "I'd be walking in paying for his meal and thanking him for a great childhood this generation different."
