AEW wrestler Will Ospreay hit back at WWE's head of creative and COO Paul 'Triple H' Levesque with an incredibly heated promo on the latest episode of Dynamite.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show last week, Levesque spoke about wrestlers that have opted to sign for other promotions because of a so-called "lighter schedule".
He suggested that those people aren't in it for the grind.

"I don't subscribe to the 'this guy says they're good, that guy says they're good'. I have to see it to feel it. It's just keeping track of who's out there, how good they are and what you think they can do. And because they succeed someplace else doesn't mean they'll succeed at the big time."
Levesque, who was recently praised by Paul Heyman for his leadership in what has been an uncertain time, added: "When I see people that come out of trying to make it and then they pick the job where they go, 'Well, they work less, the schedule is lighter...alright, then I'm glad I didn't get you because if you're not in it for the grind at that point early in your your career, you have no business being here."
Despite not naming anybody from AEW specifically, London-born wrestler Will Ospreay clearly took offence to Triple H's comments during Wrestlemania 40 week.

In fact, on Wednesday night's action-packed episode of Dynamite – a show that featured footage of CM Punk altercation with Jack Perry – the AEW star made his feelings clear in a heated promo.
As you can see from the footage below, Ospreay says: “I’ll be honest, I have no idea where this conversation has come from. I’m one of the only guys that is traveling every week from the UK to America, eight to ten hour flights, every single week, and I’m delivering some of the best professional wrestling matches this world has ever seen.”
He added: “Normally I wouldn’t rise to this type of bait, but seeing as the guy that said it is only in the position he’s in because he was grinding on the bosses daughter, you are in no position to tell me what the grind is all about my friend because you have no idea what I fight for.
"Let this be a painful jab back and a gentle reminder that you do not throw stones at an assassin with a machine gun.”
Ospreay, who will come up against Bryan Danielson at next weekend’s AEW Dynasty 2024 PPV event, has certainly got people talking on social media following the so-called "jab".

One fan wrote: "You can clearly see that even Renee Paquette was feeling uncomfortable during this Will Ospreay taking shots at Triple H Promo," while another said: "I feel bad for Renee. She wanted no part of this."
A third commented: "Triple H didn’t even say his name."
A fourth added: "Did...did Hunter actually MENTION Will?!? Because what I saw from the PMS, there were no names mentioned or even alluded to. So I feel as if Mr. Osprey's promo was a choice."
Thoughts on the promo? Let us know.
