Manchester United are working on a new five-year contract for Alejandro Garnacho after his stellar campaign last season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 17-year-old teenager was one of the standout players in United's youth teams last term, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists across competitions.
He was considered the main-man in the FA Youth Cup victory last month, where he scored seven goals, including two in the final against Nottingham Forest.

This form for the youth team rewarded Garnacho a chance to train, and then ultimately play with the first-team. He made his debut as a late substitute against Chelsea in the 1-1 draw in April.
He has since continued that form Argentina's youth side, just months after he included in their first-team squad and had the chance to train with the likes of Lionel Messi during World Cup qualifiers in March.
He played four games for the South American's Under-20 side and scored four goals across those games, including a wonderful free-kick against France.

This all comes just two years after he joined United as a fresh 16-year-old from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
Recent reports had suggested that the winger was out on contract in one year's time, however, they were rebuffed by Richard Fay of the MEN, who clarified that the teen signed a professional deal until 2025 last July.
He also reported that talks were progressing with Garnacho and that United are confident that he will put pen to paper on a new deal with the club, one that will represent his progress in the last year.
Fabrizio Romano has added to this on Saturday morning. He says that talks have already started so that United are able to have the deal signed and sealed before the turn of the year.

The Italian journalist also added that it was a five-year deal that is on the table for the youngster, as United consider him a huge talent at the club.
That would see Garnacho extend to 2027. He had reported interest from clubs like Juventus, but it looks like he's certain to remain at the club.
Fay's report claimed that sources at Old Trafford were not surprised by the amount of interest shown in the player, given how well he played in the second half of the season last term.

He will be apart of Erik ten Hag's first pre-season at the club which will commence towards the end of this month. While his duties with Argentina might mean that he joins up late, Garnacho will relish the chance to impress the Dutchman.
