Marcus Rashford Is excited ahead of Manchester United’s preseason, as he's looking forward to spending time with teammates and new boss Erik ten Hag.
United’s new man in charge Erik ten Hag has confirmed that pre-season starts on the 27th of June, just over two weeks before the Reds are set to play their rivals Liverpool in the Rajamangala Stadium In Bangkok, Thailand.
This will be United's first proper pre-season tour in three years as the Red Devils have been unable to showcase their talent to the corners of the world because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the EURO 2020 tournament last summer.
This three year delay has players like Marcus Rashford feeling eager and excited to travel with the squad again.

In a recent interview with the club’s media, the 24-year-old expressed his joy about the preseason tour.
“We all enjoy getting away and spending that time together,” he said. “Being away from home for so long, it's [the team is] like your little family.
“It’s going to be a nice feeling, we’ve not been able to travel because of Covid, and it’s something that we’ve missed.

“It’s always a big part of our pre-season so it’s exciting to be able to go to those places again.”
United will visit three countries during their tour, The first being the previously mentioned Bangkok in Thailand, then the club will move on to Australia where they will play in Melbourne and Perth, with the final destination on the tour being Oslo in Norway.
Whilst United are stationed in Melbourne they will be playing at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground, better known as the MCG.
Rashford is grateful for the opportunity to play at such a renowned Stadium as he said:

“It’s all about experiences and just enjoying having different platforms to perform on.
“For a club like United, it’s important to play at some of the biggest and most popular stadiums around the world, and luckily for us, we’re getting the opportunity to do that.”
The main purpose of preseason is for players to regain their sharpness and fitness ahead of the fast approaching Premier League season.
It also gives Erik ten Hag an opportunity to implement his identity and play style on the team before the high pressure environment of the league.
The winger believes Erik ten Hag’s impact will be easy to see: “At the beginning of pre-season, you want to get your fitness levels up, [you want to] get back to what it’s like to play in the Premier League.

“When a team changes its identity and changes the purpose of the football, it’ll be quite obvious to see. I think you’ll be able to see it.”
Marcus Rashford is like every United fan at the moment, just waiting for pre-season to begin and anxiously wondering how this new era at the club will start.
