Ten Hag's comments
Many will be wondering how the Dutchman will want United to play, and that has been detailed through his latest comments.
He said: "We want to play a proactive style of football – on the ball and off the ball.

"That is, trying to do that has to be our intentions and it’s now, firstly, the coaches bring it over to the team that we are, in every situation, proactive.
"In the positions of individuals, you give them coaching advice, and, in the end, it’s about team results and better team performances so you give them advice to perform into the team,” the Dutch coach explained.
“That is my job, to construct a team and to improve the team. You can do it in different ways or in more ways but, to start, it is out of a philosophy. And then you build it and go into the individuals, and you give them the rules and principles.”

While it will be early days, the fixture against United's Premier League rivals will be a good opportunity to start building these principles.
Ones to watch
It is difficult to guess who will make an impact in this game, as we cannot know how the new manager will line the team up, but there are a number of players who could be ones to watch.
Malacia is one, as United fans are eager to see what he brings to the table from the left-hand side.
Meanwhile, the player who started his United career against Liverpool will also be looking to impress. Anthony Martial has fell out of favour at Old Trafford, but Ronaldo's plead to leave the club has given him a chance at the club and how he operates in pre-season will be an indicator of whether he's ready to take that chance.
