With just 3 days left of the transfer window, Manchester United seem to have completed all their transfer business for Erik ten Hag’s first summer in charge.
Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Antony have all been signed. A sixth player, Martin Dubravka, is not far away from being confirmed as a new United player.
However, with time left in the window, and some potential departures on the cards, United may well still do some business. Here is a look at three players United should still look to make before Thursday’s deadline.
Sergiño Dest – Transfermarkt Value: £16.2 million
The first player who United could look to bring in before Thursday’s deadline is Barcelona right-back Sergiño Dest.

This is a deal that would depend on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future at United. The Englishman has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford a lot recently.
However, according to David Ornstein, United are unlikely to sell or loan Wan-Bissaka, despite interest from Crystal Palace and West Ham United.
This is largely due to Ten Hag wanting two right-backs in his squad. At this late stage, it could be difficult to recruit another player to compete for the spot Diogo Dalot currently holds.

Dest, however, is an option because he seems open to a move. He is a player to whom United have been linked in recent weeks. If Barcelona could sort out a replacement in time, potentially Borussia Dortmund right-back Thomas Meunier, then we could see Wan-Bissaka leave United, and Dest join the club.
The American registered three assists in 21 games in La Liga last season. Dest would be no doubt hoping to provide some competition to Dalot, who has made an exceptional start to the season.
Dest is another player who has played under Ten Hag at Ajax, and, at only 21 years of age, this could be an extremely smart piece of business from United. Should he join United before the deadline, it would be an exciting signing, considering all the factors mentioned above.
Victor Osimhen - Transfermarkt Value: £58.5 million
Another player who could join United before the transfer window shuts is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. This is a transfer that, if it is going to be completed before Thursday, hinges on the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Advert
Should the Portugal captain leave Old Trafford, Napoli seems like the most likely destination at this late stage.
There has been a lot of talk in the last few days of a potential swap deal involving Osimhen and Ronaldo. Whether or not this is a move that will materialise remains to be seen. However, it could still require United to pay a fee for Osimhen, and some of Ronaldo’s wages at Napoli.
As a player, Osimhen looks like he would be an excellent fit for Ten Hag’s system and is a similar profile to other strikers who have previously played under the Dutchman.
Advert
Last season, Osimhen scored 14 goals and assisted five in Serie A. He also scored four goals and assisted once in the Europa League.
The Nigeria international has gotten off to an excellent start for his club this season. Osimhen has scored two goals already, and has one assist to his name, in just three league matches.
He also has an extremely good record at international level, scoring 15 times in 23 caps for Nigeria.
There is still a lot that needs to happen before a move to Manchester United for Victor Osimhen can materialise this summer. However, considering he is a prolific goal scorer and seems like an ideal player for Ten Hag’s system, it would certainly be an exciting one. It may well be the case that this deal gets done in the future, if not this summer.
Memphis - Transfermarkt Value: £31.5 million
Another transfer that could rest on the future of Ronaldo, former United player Memphis has been constantly linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer. After a transfer to Juventus fell through, it is rumoured there is still a chance Memphis could leave the Spanish club.
Advert
Despite his high transfer valuation, a deal could likely be struck for less than £10 million for the player.
A deal for Memphis would be a smart one for United to do. Although his first spell at Old Trafford did not work out, he was a lot younger and a lot less experienced when he first played for United.
Memphis has an excellent reputation as a versatile forward, with a proven goal-scoring ability. His record over the past few seasons speaks for itself, and he would add more quality to United’s attack.
Memphis, like Anthony Martial, is highly accomplished when it comes to link-up play, and, whether Ronaldo leaves or not, would be able to add more quality depth to United’s attacking options. This, coupled with the fact he can play out wide as well as through the middle, makes it a very exciting prospect.
Last season, Memphis scored 12 La Liga goals in 28 appearances, as well as grabbing two assists. His international record is also phenomenal, scoring 42 goals in 80 appearances for the Netherlands.
A move for Memphis would certainly be exciting for United, regardless of Ronaldo’s future, and, with just days left in the transfer window, is a deal that could well develop at a rapid pace.
