Christian Eriksen and Jadon Sancho react to Manchester United's win against Leicester City

Christian Eriksen and goal scorer Jadon Sancho react to Manchester United's victory over Leicester City in the Premier League.

Manchester United have defeated Leicester City in the Premier League.

The 1-0 result sees United keep their second clean sheet in a row after a win over Southampton last weekend with the same score line.

After two embarrassing opening defeats, Manchester United have now made it three wins on the bounce and have vastly improved across the opening five Premier League matches of the season.

Speaking on the result, Christian Eriksen said to BT Sport: “It hasn’t been beautiful for 90 minutes, but we have three wins (in a row).

"We want to do better but I think we can take something from this and obviously the three points is the most important."

Christian Eriksen was awarded BT Sport's Man of the Match award, with the Danish midfielder producing a top class performance at the King Power Stadium.

Continuing to talk, Eriksen noted: "I think it (the match) was similar to Southampton.

"We did very well until we scored, but then we have to keep momentum, we have to kill the game earlier otherwise it’ll be a tight game like today."

The match winning goal was scored by Jadon Sancho, who is currently United's top scorer for the season with two goals.

"It was a great team goal," the Englishman described.

"I’m just happy I got the goal for the team and we got the three points."

Manchester United are set to take on Arsenal on Sunday, as side who are currently top of the Premier League.

Sunday will see the hotly-anticipated debut of Manchester United's new £85 million man Antony, who was announced on deadline day as a signing for Ajax.

It's likely that other new signing Marin Dubravka will also be in the squad for the Old Trafford showdown, however after back to back clean sheets for David de Gea, the new goalkeeper will more than likely be on the bench.
