Manchester United have informed Brandon Williams that he can leave the club following his loan spell with Norwich City last season, according to reports.
The 20-year-old broke into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first team in 2019/20, where he played 17 Premier League games for the Reds.
Following that campaign, the versatile full-back's game-time was limited.

Luke Shaw had one of his best campaigns to date, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka was a trusted member of Solskjaer's backline.
He started just two league fixtures while United finished second, behind Manchester City.
This led to a loan move last season, where Williams was a regular in the Norwich side that was relegated from English's top division.

"What I want to do next year is play for Manchester United at left-back and that's my job." A passionate Williams told the Manchester Evening News in April. "That's what I'm determined to do because it's my life and I'll do anything for that."
However, despite the defenders passion for the club, he admits that he must be playing consistently in order to continue to develop his game after receiving consistent minutes with The Canaries.
"There would be no point in me going back to United and just sitting on the bench," Williams explained to the Daily Mail in March. "I want to play and feel I’m better equipped for the Premier League after this experience."
With Luke Shaw looking likely to be an important player under Ten Hag as long as he avoids any long term injuries, Williams' chances at Old Trafford are slim.

That could encourage the left-back to an Old Trafford exit this summer.
Jonathan Shrager reported that United have informed the young defender that he can leave the club this summer if offers do come in for him.
This is due to the fact that United are unable to guarantee him first-team football next season.

However, they would like the player to fight for a place in the backline at Old Trafford.
Another full-back that could possibly leave the Theatre of Dreams in the summer is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has halted in development since his move three years ago.
Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports has reported that the right-back wants regular first-team football. If that's not possible at United, with Diogo Dalot leapfrogging his competitor into the starting team last season, there's a feeling that he could move and that United would consider any suitable offers.
Previous reports from Samuel Luckhurst of the MEN say that departures of Williams and Wan-Bissaka would give Ten Hag the chance to sign a new full-back.

It has also been said that the manager is targeting at least five signings this window, and departures would help the cause massively.
