Manchester United are set to meet with Alejandro Garnacho’s agents in order to decide the youngster’s immediate future at the club.
The Argentine winger was by far United’s best player on the pitch during their 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
The youngster impressed new manager Erik ten Hag so much that the Dutchman reserved special praise for him after the game.

While United’s attack struggled to find the back of the net, Garnacho came as a breath of fresh air as he relentlessly chased the opponent, won the ball and showed immense attacking intent, showcasing why he could be a vital piece of Ten Hag’s structure at the club in the long term.
Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed via CaughtOffside that the Red Devils’ hierarchy will hold a meeting with Garnacho’s agent once they have resolved Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at the club.
The details of the agenda of this meeting is said to revolve around what the player and the club think best for him going forward.
If Manchester United do not dive into the transfer market for a new forward after being heavily linked with Ajax star Antony and Red Bull Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko, Garnacho might well stay on at Old Trafford.

In their talks with regards to a decision to loan the player, United also plan to offer the 18-year-old a new long term deal as they expect him to be the next big breakout star at the club.
Ivory Coast international Amad Diallo’s situation is yet to be discussed as he could leave for another loan move, especially if Garnacho is retained for the 2022/23 season.
Garnacho was United’s best player against Rayo Vallecano and apart from manager Erik ten Hag, he gained praise from veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

"I think today there were a few really good performances,” Heaton said. "I thought Garnacho was outstanding down the left-hand side.
“So yeah, good for him to get a good run-out, I'm sure the manager is impressed with him among others, there were plenty of good performances but it's just taking the opportunity when it comes for the young lads."
Garnacho will now set his eyes on Manchester United’s Premier League opener against Brighton.
The Red Devils lost 4-0 at the Amex Stadium last season in an embarrassing state of affairs.

They did, however, beat Graham Potter's side 2-0 in reverse fixture at Old Trafford last term with goals from Manchester United’s Portuguese duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.
Erik ten Hag will look to address what happened last season and will hope to see his team come out all guns blazing on the first day of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, claiming all three points to kick-off what is going to be an exciting season ahead.
