Despite there being no clear indication on when Manchester United’s brand new away kit will be released to the public, official images of the shirt have leaked online.
With Manchester United’s first pre-season game against rivals Liverpool kicking off in just 21 days, the question emerges, what will the shirt United be wearing for that game look like? Following a recent leak online, it looks like we may finally have our answer.
Well known football kit leak site FootyHeadlines have released the first official image of the new shirt on their site, offering the first high-definition look at the previously rumoured shirt.

Both the collar and the sleeves of the shirt are patterned, with each area of the shirt accentuated with a set of coloured dashes.
The sleeves of the shirt continued to be the standout feature, with the two-tone coloured version of Adidas’ iconic three stripes adding a touch of class to the shirt.
With regards to sponsors on the shirt, technology powerhouse TeamViewer have returned as the primary sponsor on the shirt for the second year running.

The group recorded revenue of €134.49M during their most recent quarterly figures (Dec 2021-March 2022), a 13.66% increase on the previous year.
Meanwhile, DXC Technology will be United’s sleeve sponsor for this season, marking the first time the group have sponsored the club’s official match shirts.
The shirt itself only somewhat mirrors that of United’s home shirt which was also leaked online earlier this month. Most noticeably the similarities between the two shirts lies with the badge.

On both shirts, United’s crest lies atop a shield, a design choice Adidas had previously used for the club’s 2019/20 home shirt.
This now marks only the second time Adidas have produced an unpatterned white away shirt for United since the start of their second partnership with the club.
The most recent partnership kicked off back in 2015, with the white shirt produced in their first year being worn by the club as they tasted FA Cup glory.
Despite both the home and away shirts now being leaked online, the most important thing is the players who will wear the kits.
