Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign teenage striker Enzo Kana-Biyik from Ligue 1 club Le Havre.
Man Utd are looking to strengthen after a poor season in the Premier League.
They also need to establish a more sustainable approach to recruitment in order to compete more consistently and avoid huge financial waste in the age of profit and sustainability rules.

French news outlet Le Parisien reports that the Red Devils are close to taking a step in the right direction by reaching an agreement with Le Havre for 18-year-old Kana-Biyik.
The striker is yet to make a first team appearance for the Normandy club but has been working with the senior squad this season.
"Kana-Biyik has decided to leave the Normandy club, which was still hoping to extend his contract a few days ago," reports Le Parisien, citing L'Equipe.
"[He] is in very advanced discussions with Manchester United, which, according to our information, has already obtained the agreement of the player and his family."
Kana-Biyik was born in Paris and holds French citizenship but hails from fine Cameroonian football stock.

His father, Andre, played for Le Havre in the early 1990s and won 80 international caps in a Cameroon career that spanned almost a decade.
Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik, Enzo's older brother, also started his career with Le Havre and went on to play for Rennes, Toulouse and Metz, as well as a five-year stint in Turkey.
The 18-year-old has played a handful of minutes for France U18 according to Transfermarkt.
Man Utd have apparently beaten the likes of Monaco and Marseille to sign him up and Le Parisien says they will send him straight back to mainland Europe, where a loan spell at Ineos-owned Swiss Super League side Lausanne awaits.
Head coach Didier Digard has named Kana-Biyik in his matchday squad twice in 2024-25 but he's yet to make his senior debut.

The teenager was an unused substitute in a Ligue 1 win at Lille in February and for Le Havre's Coupe de France exit against Stade Briochin in December.
He's been a regular for Le Havre U19 since the start of 2025, playing 90 minutes in each of their last eight league fixtures and scoring four goals to take his total for the season to eight.
Kana-Biyik, who also has a young brother and cousin in the game as well as being the nephew of François Omam-Biyik, is proving his worth in front of goal but represents a gamble for the Red Devils.

It's exactly the kind of low-risk, high-reward gamble they need to master. Signing players like Kana-Biyik from their second clubs for millions is no longer sustainable.
Kana-Biyik is highly rated by observers in the know.
Africa Soccer rates the teenager for his "attacking flair and instinctive finishing" while journalist Christopher Michel describes him as a "great talent".

TEAMtalk identifies Michel as the reliable source who broke the news of United's interest in Sekou Kone.
He originally reported that Kana-Biyik was set to sign for Marseille with United keeping tabs, but it now appears the Red Devils have hijacked the deal.
