Antonio Conte's Tottenham Hotspur are "quietly confident" of re-signing Manchester United target Christen Eriksen this summer, according to reports.
The 30-yea-old attacking midfielder was at Spurs for six and a half years and scored 69 goals and assisted 90 times during his time with the North London club.
He was one of the key men under Mauricio Pochettino and was one of the most exciting players in the league.

One of his best campaigns was certainly in 2016/17 where he assisted a staggering 24 assists across all competitions, helping Spurs finish second in the league behind Chelsea.
Departure from Tottenham came in January 2020, just two months after the Argentinian manager had been dismissed and Jose Mourinho had taken over at the club.
Eriksen moved to Inter Milan, where he would make 60 appearances before his tragic collapse at Euro 2020, where he would then have to recover for six months.

Some thought his career would be over, but the Denmark international returned to the Premier League, signing with newly promoted Brentford in the 2022 January transfer window.
His performances for The Bees were classy, effective and made it seem that he never left the league at all. Eriksen scored once and grabbed four assists while he was dictating play for Thomas Frank's men in 10 of their final 11 games of the season.
It was a comfortable finish in the debut campaign in the Premier League, finishing 13th with 46 points.

Since then, Eriksen has had multiple suiters, with his contract at Brentford running out at the end of the month.
He has proved that he can still compete with the best in the toughest league in the world, and financially it makes sense for almost any club out there.
United's interest sparked when reports said that United had joined the race for the midfielder as Erik ten Hag looked to make his budget stretch as far as possible.
The United manager had also seen the player in training, as he was welcomed to join the Ajax squad to regain fitness before he made his return to England. It was said that Ten Hag was hugely impressed by Eriksen's desire.

Scouts from Old Trafford were then spotted attending an international fixture between Denmark and Austria last week.
However, since then, a report from Gary Jacob at The Times has said that Spurs are quietly confident of securing Eriksen's signature as a free agent this summer.

It would be the second time in the last three years that a high-profile ex-Spurs player would re-join the club, after Gareth Bale spent the 2020/21 with his former side on loan from Real Madrid.
