Newcastle United's rumoured interest in Manchester United's Dean Henderson has been squashed by senior sources at the club, as reported by The Telegraph.
Various reports in recent weeks have suggested that the English shot-stopper - who's career has been halted the last two seasons - will be making a move across to Tyneside.
There were even claims that the goal keeper had agreed personal terms with the Premier League club on the weekend.

Eddie Howe's side finished 11th in the Premier League last season. It was a superb finish considering their status when the manager took charge mid-season.
They were active in the January transfer market, bringing in Bruno Guimarães, Chris Wood, Kieran Trippier, Dan Burn and Matt Targett.
Newcastle will undoubtably look to strengthen their squad yet again this summer, and although the club are admirers of the United goalkeeper, they will not attempt to sign him this summer.
Suggestions that Henderson had agreed personal terms with the club and that an announcement of his signing was imminent has been vehemently denied by senior sources at Newcastle.

Eddie Howe's summer targets start with offensive players and then a new centre-back to challenge club captain Jamaal Lascelles and Burn.
While recruitment meetings have included discussions have been had about signing a goalkeeper, it is not a top priority and it is extremely unlikely that things change on the Dean Henderson front.
The goalkeeper made just five appearances just term and that suggests that an Old Trafford exit, on loan or on a permanent deal, is likely for the career of the 25-year-old.

Previously, Henderson showed promise at loan club Sheffield United. He won the EFL Golden Glove in 2018/19 when he helped Sheffield United get promotion to the Premier League.
Then, he performed brilliant in his debut campaign in the top flight where The Blades finished ninth in the table, conceding only 39 goals across the season.
Despite looking the part in the back end of the campaign prior to last, Henderson contracted long-Covid in the build-up to the 2021/22 campaign, which left David de Gea free to reclaim his no.1 spot at Old Trafford.
The Spanish goalkeeper never looked back, and was one of United's best players over the course of the season, winning the club's Players' Player of the Year.

However, there are worries amongst supporters about the no.1's ability to play in a possession based side, and Luis Enrique has also revealed the doubts that has led to him dropping the goalkeeper from his latest Spain squad.
It is yet to be seen whether Henderson will be given a chance at United, but his most likely previous destination at St James' Park looks like it is not an option at all.
