Travis Kelce's friend has revealed why they have not spoken since he entered a relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
The pair began dating in 2023 and confirmed their relationship in October of that year, with Swift regularly supporting him at Kansas City Chiefs games - including the Super Bowl 59 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Kelce has supported Swift at her Eras tour and even made a cameo on stage at Wembley Stadium. Although already famous and successful in NFL, the three-time Super Bowl winner's popularity and public interest has increased while in a relationship with one of the biggest stars on the planet.

But that has meant he has not been able to communicate to some of his close pals due to his schedule. On a recent episode of the New Heights podcast with Kelce and brother Jason, the siblings were discussing getting someone on the show with expert knowledge of the salary cap.
Jason brought up sports TV personality Nick Wright of Fox Sports, saying that he "threw his hat in the ring" as a potential guest. Travis then spoke fondly of Wright, saying 'he "f***ing loves".
On the 'What's Wright? with Nick Wright' show, the talk show host was shown a clip of Kelce's comments and then proceeded to explain that they lost contact for a while now ever since he and Swift became an official item.

They were going to rekindle at the New Year's day parade in New Orleans but the horrific tragedy which saw 10 people killed and 35 people injured by a driver of a pickup truck on Bourbon Street meant it could not happen.
"Trav and I have not, like, talked, talked since he's been serious with Taylor Swift," Wright said in the episode.
"Since he's become a high-priority, super celebrity. So here's the thing. I don't want to bother him during the year. And then last off-season, he was traveling the world with Taylor."
"Then at the parade last year ... we were going to get together after the parade or during, but there was obviously the tragedy and the shooting at the parade. So everything got askew."
Wright would make exception for Kelce show
Wright is busy with his podcast and many other ventures but went on to express his appreciation at getting some recognition by the Kelces on their platform.

And he confirmed he is more than up for an appearance on New Heights and his even willing to do it for free.
"I haven't talked to Trav in a while, so appreciate the shoutout on one of the world's most popular podcasts," he continued.
"And also, to the New Heights producers, I’ll do it. And I’ll waive my appearance fee just to help them out.
'If they want someone to come on and really just break down the cap, nothing would thrill me more.'
