Travis Kelce's ex-partner makes controversial comment which may anger NFL star and Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce's ex-partner makes controversial comment which may anger NFL star and Taylor Swift

The NFL star's former partner would "love" to see someone else win the Super Bowl this year

Kayla Nicole Brown, who dated Travis Kelce between 2017 and 2022, says she would "love" to see the Kansas City Chiefs miss out on a place in the Super Bowl this year.

Brown, who features on the reality series Special Forces: America’s Toughest Test, was a guest on the I Am Athlete podcast on Monday, where she discussed the past weekend's NFL action.

Referencing a key moment in the Baltimore Ravens' loss to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round when tight end Mark Andrews dropped a crucial pass that would have sent the game to overtime, she praised he ex-partner's sure-handedness.

"They [the Chiefs] have guys they can count on, who aren't going to drop the ball in the end zone," she said.

"Travis Kelce – that's a tight end who's not gonna do it."

The Bills' victory has set up an AFC Championship showdown with the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night, with the winner progressing to the Super Bowl.

Kansas City – led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes – are chasing an unprecedented "threepeat", a third successive Super Bowl crown.

Brown lauded Mahomes' winning record and spoke of the feeling of inevitability around the Chiefs winning the NFL's top prize once again in New Orleans on February 9, but she also said she'd "love" to see somebody else get their hands of the Vince Lombardy trophy, namely Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen.

"They've got the threats," she said. "As much as I'd love to see somebody else in the Super Bowl, it's not gonna happen."

"I'm never going to bet against him [Mahomes]," she said, referring to Mahomes' postseason success. "But I'd like to see Josh [Allen] pull it off. Something new. I'm bored."

Kelce has been dating Taylor Swift since 2023. And Brown has spoken in the past about how she faced online abuse from Swift fans.

"I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos didn't impact me – it does. Even to this day," she told Angel Reese while appearing as a guest on the WNBA star's podcast.

"You can go to my most recent [social media] post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I'll never be a talented person and I have no career."
