Travis Kelce made a sad admission when asked what caused Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LIX loss to Philadelphia Eagles.
Chiefs were looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls on Sunday night but suffered a surprise 40-22 defeat to the Eagles.
It was a case of the scoreline doing little to underline how emphatic the defeat was, with Chiefs down 40-6 at one point during the final quarter before embarking on a mini-comeback which was, sadly for them, all too late.

Eagles won back possession by sacking Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on a number of occasions, with the three-time Super Bowl MVP also seeing several of his pass attempts intercepted.

Kelce also had little meaningful impact on the game, and was at times restricted to a bystander as his usually strong connection with Mahomes throughout the regular season fizzled out at Caesars Superdrome in New Orleans.
His partner Taylor Swift was in attendance in New Orleans, with sections of the crowd booing her at one stage when she appeared on camera.

A source told the Daily Mail that Kelce was 'aware' of the boos and 'felt helpless', adding: "He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this."
After the match, 35-year-old Kelce was asked by reporters about his future in the NFL, to which he responded that he would like to continue playing next season.
He was also quizzed about the reason behind the Chiefs' shock defeat - and made a sad admission.
"I think there were a lot of things going wrong," he said. "The whole night, it was an accumulative of everything. It's going to hurt.

"We haven't played that badly all year."
