Steph Curry snubbed LeBron James when naming the three NBA players he wishes he played alongside

Steph Curry is one of the GOATs of the NBA.

Steph Curry overlooked LeBron James when asked to name three NBA legends he wishes he played alongside.

Curry, 37, will go down as one of the finest players in NBA history, having played for the Golden State Warriors for the entirety of his career so far.

The American has won the NBA title on four occasions and was named NBA Most Valuable Player twice and the NBA Finals MVP once.

Along with the likes of James, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, Curry is firmly in the NBA GOAT conversation.

Back in 2023, Curry snubbed James when asked to name three players he wishes he could play alongside.

He told Dubs Talk with Monte Poole and Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area, as reported by Blue Mountain Eagle: "My top three, I’d probably say [Michael] Jordan, Shaq [Shaquille O’Neal] and maybe Hakeem Olajuwon.

"I’d like to play with all three of those guys because I think Jordan, you just wanna see it up close and personal. I think a pick and roll with me and Hakeem or me and Shaq would be pretty much unstoppable."

In the same year, it was reported that six-time NBA champion Jordan snubbed Curry when asked to name the sport's greatest point guard.

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith revealed that Jordan texted: "Good morning sir. Although greatest of anything is always a debate, I beg to differ on 'greatest point guard of all time'.

"Magic Johnson is easily the best point guard of all time. Steph Curry is very close, but not in front of Magic. You must define point guard to really have a serious debate."

Magic spent his entire professional NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He won five titles and was named NBA Most Valuable Player on three occasions in 1987, 1989, 1990.

However, Curry revealed in 2023 that he feels he is still on top.

Are you the best point guard ever?" Gilbert Arenas asked Curry.

"Yes," responded Curry despite hesitating in his response.

"It's me and Magic, is that the conversation?" Curry said.

"Obviously I have to answer [myself]. But to your point, Magic's resume is ridiculous. So the fact that we're even having that conversation is a place that I never thought I'd be in."
