Luka Doncic has already made his feelings on the NBA greatest of all time debate ahead of playing his first game alongside new Lakers teammate LeBron James.
In perhaps the biggest trade in the history of the NBA, talented youngster Doncic joined the Los Angeles Lakers from the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday evening.
The superstar will now play alongside basketball great James, who, alongside Michael Jordan, many consider to be the greatest player of all time.

But ahead of his first match with the four-time NBA champion, Doncic has weighed in on the GOAT debate, and he's got no doubt who deserves the title.
Although the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Shaquille O'Neal are also in the conversation, NBA fans typically agree that either Jordan or James is the best to ever do it.
Jordan won six NBA titles and five MVP awards during his impressive career, while James, who is still playing at age 40, has won four titles and four MVPs, while also becoming the highest scorer in the league's history.

However, Doncic clearly thinks that there is no doubt over who the greatest basketball player ever is, as he confidently named Jordan when asked his opinion ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Ahead of the Mavericks' preseason games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in October 2023, Doncic said: “MJ. It’s MJ.”
Doncic has previously made it clear that both Jordan and James are two of his favourite players, but he perhaps decided to select Jordan due to his current signature shoe deal with Jordan.

But now that he is set to play alongside Lakers legend James, it is very possible that his opinion could change in the coming months.
The 25-year-old has been dealing with several injuries throughout this season but is expected to make his Lakers debut ahead of the NA All-Star break from February 14-19.
It has been reported that the Lakers see Doncic, who is just 25-years-old, as their next big superstar who can take on the mantle of the talisman of the side once 40-year-old James retires.
In exchange for the talented Point Guard, the Lakers parted ways with Anthony Davis, a power forward who won the NBA title with the Lakers in 2020, and guard Max Christie.
