Popular music artist Drake has placed a huge $250,000 bet ahead of the much anticipated UFC 296.
The latest UFC event is set to take place on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
British fighter Leon Edwards is the headline act as he takes on American Colby Covington.

Meanwhile, Liverpool-born Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett will fight against Tony Ferguson on the undercard.
Ahead of the big fight between Edwards and Covington, Drake has taken to social media to announce to the world that he has placed a $250,000 bet.
The Canadian is backing Edwards to win against Covington, writing on Instagram alongside a picture of his bet slip, Drake said: “Head shot pls and thank you @leonedwardsmma.”

Drake has always been one to pick a side for these kinds of big fights, however, he often ended up backing the loser.
In August, the rapper backed Nate Diaz to get the better of Jake Paul but ended up losing his $250,000 bet after ‘The Problem Child’ won via unanimous decision.
Ahead of the bout, Edwards warned Covington after the American spoke about the Brit’s late father, he said: “That man is as good as dead tomorrow. Make sure you keep everything you said about my dad. Tomorrow, we can settle it.”
Previously speaking about his father’s passing, Edwards said: “It was probably like 2am. I was in my room. Mum was in her room. We hear the phone ringing. I heard her crying, and I knew from then something bad, you know.

“Eventually, she came into my room and just told me this, your dad’s just got killed in London. It was something to do with money. I don't know what exactly. It was some mad s***, but I knew that it could happen.”
After being booed by a section of the crowd, Covington said: “Las Vegas, Nevada, are you ready for an American revolution? This fight tomorrow night is for all the men and women in law enforcement.
“All our troops past and present. And the whole entire MAGA movement. You can delay us, but you cannot deny us. Trump is taking back the White House and I’m taking back the undisputed tomorrow night. This one’s for America, let’s go!”
