UFC fans react after seeing Conor McGregor's antics with a live microphone at BKFC event

McGregor is the co-owner of bare-knuckle boxing fight league Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Conor McGregor cut a much-talked-about promo during his guest appearance at the latest Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship [BKFC] event in Sturgis, South Dakota.

The former two-division UFC champion, who hasn't fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, announced back in April that he and McGregor Sports and Entertainment are part-owners of BKFC.

Speaking at the KnuckleMania 4 card, he confirmed the news in a video that aired before the evening's co-main event between Mick Terrill and Lorenzo Hunt.

"Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did it," McGregor said, referring to the BKFC president, who said they would "take this motherf******" thing all the way to the top now."

Feldman added: “We had some unbelievable conversations, some great ideas already exchanging. It was funny, I was telling my wife, ‘I was dying for Conor McGregor to call me and now the guy won’t stop calling me.’ It’s unbelievable."

McGregor has promoted the events on numerous occasions and on Saturday night, he arrived at BKFC 63 in South Dakota accompanied by ring girls and the walkout song 'Welcome To The Jungle' by Guns N' Roses.

He then proceeded to down a can of Forged Irish Stout before cutting a promo, as seen below.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the scenes.

One said: "We will never see this man fight again," while another commented: "Alright, Chandler 100% needs to move on. Conor will be there when he’s ready but sitting out over two years in your late thirties is not good."

A third wrote: "This guy is a marketing machine now. Good for him, but i don't see the fighter dawg in him."

A fourth said: "He ain’t fighting in December," and a fifth added: "Yeah he's never coming back and winning a fight in the UFC against real talent."

Earlier this week, McGregor narrowly avoided jail time after being handed a five-month suspended sentence for an offence in 2022.

The Irishman appeared at Blanchardstown District Court on Wednesday in relation to an incident on the N4/M50 interchange in Palmerstown, Dublin, on March 22, 2022.

The 36-year-old had been travelling in his Bentley Continental GT when he was stopped by gardai on the motorway.

In court, he was handed a suspended sentence for dangerous driving. He also received a two-year driving ban and a fine for two traffic offences.

Judge David McHugh said: "This is an appalling series of breaches of the road traffic rules and an appalling episode of dangerous driving."

The former UFC champion was also hit with fines totalling €5,000 - the maximum for such an offence.
