Conor McGregor has responded to Jake Paul’s criticism of his boxing technique by labelling the YouTuber-turned-boxer a “jackass”.
McGregor is continuing his rehabilitation from the broken leg he suffered in July but is expected to make his return to the octagon this summer.

The former two-weight UFC champion gave his fans an update on his progress last week by posting a video himself hitting the pads while wearing boxing gloves.
Paul, who holds a professional boxing record of 5-0, was less than impressed with McGregor’s technique and has vowed to KO the Irishman if they ever meet in the ring.
Paul posted on Instagram: "This is embarrassing @thenotoriousmma.
"Your chin wide open with no head movement for the PRBLM CHILD right hand of god."

He then added on Twitter: "I would KO Conor in boxing or MMA. Right hand of God."
Paul has repeatedly attempted to goad McGregor into a fight without success, with the UFC star reluctant to engage the American in a war of words.
However, McGregor has now responded to Paul with a short video on social media, in which he shadow boxes for a few seconds before saying “jackass”.
McGregor has fought just one professional boxing match, losing to former five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather back in 2017.

He subsequently returned to MMA but has won just one of his last four fights, with his most recent outing ending in defeat after he broke his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July.
McGregor is hoping to finally return to full sparring next month and is expected to make his comeback in the octagon in the summer.
Paul, meanwhile, is currently taking a break from boxing after knocking out former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in their rematch in December.
